Pop-up
Shop
During my final semester at UB, I enrolled in a class titled “Entrepreneurship for Creators,” where we were tasked with developing a unique line of items to sell at an on-campus pop-up shop. For my product line, I aimed to combine my understanding of the campus consumer demographics with my design skills, creating items that would resonate deeply with the campus community while also challenging and expanding my knowledge of business and marketing strategies. I successfully sold a variety of items, including prints, T-shirts, and pennants. Among these, the T-shirts proved to be the most popular, as I managed to sell all of them. Additionally, I established a personal brand called “Beans by Jill” to give my products a distinct identity. Overall, my experience with the pop-up was highly successful, and I gained valuable insights that will continue to support my future entrepreneurial endeavors.
